In September 2022, Inara and Bakul Foundation launched a Daan Utsav campaign on World Literacy Day, crowdfunding and gifting first books to slum and village children alongside a Day of Service.
In September 2022, marking World Literacy Day, Inara partnered with the Bakul Foundation for their bi-yearly Daan Utsav festival of giving. Operating under the powerful motto "Gift a child her first book," the campaign successfully crowdfunded and distributed foundational storybooks to children living in under-resourced slums and villages, providing many with their first-ever personal book.
Alongside the distribution drive, Inara's volunteers actively participated in Bakul's Day of Service. Moving beyond simple charity, the volunteers spent high-quality, meaningful time interacting directly with the children. They organized dynamic games, collaborated on creative arts and crafts projects, and hosted engaging storytelling sessions, leaving a lasting impact of smiles and shared memories for both the volunteers and the community.
This project is part of Inara Foundation's commitment to creating lasting positive change. Through dedicated volunteers and generous supporters, we touch lives and spread compassion.
